is a creative professional in arts and education. She received her Master of Theatre Arts, specializing in directing and new play development, and then conducted a year-long, nationwide research project exploring how different communities use the arts to address and transform trauma. Joan moved to the central coast almost four years ago to run the CPAC at Cuesta, where she’s had the immense joy of learning about and falling in love with passionate local arts organizations like Festival Mozaic. She thoroughly enjoys making lists, color-coordinated calendars, and her dog Odin. Her favorite word is community, and she is so looking forward to being immersed in Festival Mozaic’s.
