Sophie Shao presents a cello recital with guest pianist Qing Jiang for her first performance as the 2025 Artist-in-Residence. This unique program celebrates the influence of composers on one another, with many of these composers having worked with the others as students. Join us as we inaugurate Ms. Shao's appointment to this special artistic role at Festival Mozaic.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING: The Harold J. Miossi CPAC is located on the Cuesta College campus on Highway 1 near the intersection with Hollister Road. Click here for directions via Google Maps. Ample free parking is available in Lot P2 directly in front of the venue. Parking permits are NOT required at Festival Mozaic concerts.

LECTURE: We hope you will join us for the free Pre-Concert Lecture with Dr. Alyson McLamore at 1:00 PM on the Main Stage. It will last about 30 minutes.

SEATING/TICKETS: Your tickets will be scanned before entering the lobby. Please print your tickets or be prepared to display them on your mobile device. If you forget your tickets, you may visit the box office to have them reprinted. The box office opens 90 minutes prior to the show. Your ticket will indicate a row and seat number. Once your ticket is scanned and you enter the lobby, an usher will assist you in finding your seat.

PROGRAM & RUNTIME: The concert will begin at 2:00 PM and will last approximately 2 hours, with a 20-minute intermission. You can download the program notes at the Program Book Tab on this event page.

MERCHANDISE: Please visit the merchandise table in the lobby to browse a selection of Festival Mozaic merchandise and apparel, 50th Anniversary Commemorative Books, and recordings by the performers. Merchandise transactions will be available for cash or credit card payments.

CONCESSIONS: A variety of light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available free of charge at this event. The menu will include Back Porch Bakery cookies, sodas, sparkling water, Open Water bottled water, and coffee. We thank you in advance for considering a cash donation in lieu of payment for these items. Please note that no food or drink is allowed inside the lobby or theater, except for sealed bottled water.

Wine will be available on the enclosed patio by the glass for a suggested donation of $10. If you bring your reusable Festival Mozaic wine tumbler, we suggest a donation of $5 for your refill. Wine donations can be accepted in cash only.
