Hélène Grimaud has established herself not only as a celebrated concert pianist, but also a writer, wildlife conservationist, and human rights advocate. She last appeared in San Luis Obispo in July 2022 when she performed Schumann's Piano Concerto with Scott Yoo and the Festival Mozaic Orchestra. We are thrilled to welcome her back to San Luis Obispo for an intimate solo piano recital.

A Deutsche Grammophon artist since 2002, Ms. Grimaud has garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the Cannes Classical Recording of the Year and Echo Klassik Award. Her extensive discography spans works by composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, and Mozart, and she has performed with leading orchestras around the globe, including the Berlin Philharmonic and New York Philharmonic. An accomplished chamber musician, she has collaborated with some of the world's most distinguished artists including Sol Gabetta, Truls Mørk, Gidon Kremer and Gil Shaham . In recognition of her contributions to music, Grimaud was named a Chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur.

Repertoire to be announced soon.
