Burt Hara

Clarinet

Burt Hara joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic as Associate Principal Clarinet in 2013.  He performed as Principal Clarinet with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, and has also performed with the Chicago Symphony, the New York Philharmonic, the Saint Louis Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the Seattle Symphony. At the age of fourteen, Hara made his solo debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and has soloed with other Orchestras around the country, including the Minnesota Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Hara is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music.  He serves on the faculty at California State University Fullerton.  He is a Buffet Group USA and Vandoren performing artist.
