Dariusz Skoraczewski
CelloDariusz is Principal Cello of the Baltimore Symphony. He has been described by the Baltimore Sun as having “lush tone, expressive style and solid technique that have earned him admiration in a career that encompasses solo, chamber and orchestral music-making.” His debut CD “Cello Populus”, a collection of contemporary solo pieces, earned considerable attention to award Dariusz the prestigious Baker Artist Award in Baltimore in 2013. His recording project - Bach’s Cello Suites – has been praised by the Fanfare Magazine: Skoraczewski’s Suites “present the best recorded sound of a cello I ever have heard”. Dariusz plays a 1702 cello made by Carlo Giuseppe Testore.
